The Beach

My good friend from camp, Katie, was sweet enough to make the drive from Savannah to spend the weekend with us at the beach. The weather was PERFECT! I got a little too much sun, but if that's my biggest complaint, I guess it was pretty great weekend. Liam loved pushing his cart up and down the beach (it must have felt like the greatest thing ever to him, to have an endless stretch of flat with nothing in his way...he just walked and walked and walked until he fell asleep)! Caroline came over to spend the night with Annah and she was thrilled to have her cousin to play with. Can't wait to go back...very soon!

This picture has nothing to do with the beach, but it is so cute!

Annah dancing in the tide pools

Liam loved everything about the beach, except the waves!

Liam passed out...I made him a tent out of towels and he slept for a good hour and half

Equine Lawn Service

In light of our current economic situation, I have found a solution for all of us...
The Equine Lawn Service
It requires no gas, self fertilizes, and is easy on the eyes!
That's right, just turn Senator loose in your yard and watch as he whips it into shape!

He mows...

He edges...

He weed-eats...

Even trims around fences!

As a bonus, he doubles as a stroller/couch!
WARNING:
The Equine Lawn Service is deathly afraid of trees, wind, and umbrellas (don't ask)

Have a small yard? No problem...
... check out the compact model
Call today to reserve your appointment!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

This weekend my nephew, Chas, had a baseball tournament here in town. I had never had the chance to see Chas play, so I was excited to go watch his games. His team, Orange Crush, played two games Saturday and two games today. They played so hard and I was really proud of Chas and his team. Annah and I (and Liam, obviously) had never been to a baseball game of any kind, so I had a lot to learn. The weather was beautiful and we even got Will to come with us today!

Annah actually took this picture. She is becoming quite the little photographer...can't imagine why...it's not as if someone follows her around with a camera all day long! :)

As if there was any doubt that these two look alike

Monday After the Masters

OK, the reality is that these pictures were from Easter Sunday too, just later in the day, but Monday After the Masters sounded better. Plus, I actually posting this on the Monday after the Masters, so not entirely untrue...
Liam watched the end of the Masters inside with the guys. Annah and I played "cheerleader" outside instead.

Annah taking a break from her cheer leading duties. Gardner was the quarterback.

Liam found the playoff REALLY exciting
(check out the Augusta National shirt--styling!)

Easter Sunday

What a wonderful Easter. It was Liam's first Easter and we could not have asked for a more beautiful day. Our church changed the service from 11:00 to 10:00, so getting there required some hurrying, but we made it just in time. We still have an interim Pastor while looking for a permanent replacement for Pastor Herman and I really enjoyed his sermon. The kids behaved (relatively) well, so all-in-all great day!

I have a picture of Will and I right after our wedding on this same bench. I try to get a new picture of our family every year here too.

Good Shepard Easter Egg Hunt

The day before Easter, our church hosts an Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids. The Oliver's joined us this year. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a blast. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Pastor Andrew ended the day with a telling of the Easter story. It was nice that they brought back the meaning of the day, instead of it just being about the eggs.

Spring Break '09

My how things change. Spring Break used to mean a trip to the beach, drinking, hanging out with friends, partying, etc. You get the picture. Now, Spring Break means many small children on a trip to the beach. I cannot lie, there was still some drinking, but it was after the kiddos were in bed. Steve, Laura, Delainey, and Jacqueline heading down the Charleston with me and the kids. Steve ran in the Cooper River Bridge Run (in under an hour...way to go Uncle Steve) and then took off for a boy's weekend, leaving Laura and I and the kids to our own devices for the next few days. It was a lot of fun (and a lot of chaos...think 4 car seats in one car) and we can't wait to do it again!

Jackson loves this spot in the sunroom. He can see the golf course and the road (and bark like crazy every time anyone moves)

Liam and Jac playing house...hhhmmm...do I see future for these two?

We had a girls pedi party while the babies were sleeping

We ventured out to the beach Monday afternoon. It was so windy, we didn't stay too long. The sand was blowing all over us (in our eyes, ears, hair, etc), but at least it wasn't cold. Collected a few shells and got a few pictures.

I LOVE this picture!
What happened to my babies, though? All the sudden they are growing up on me...way too fast

Read on...I am finally catching up on my blogging
