Slip and Slide (emphasis on slip)

It all started last Wednesday...Annah looked out on the back deck and saw the remains of the sprinkler I had bought her earlier in the summer. Belle had quite literally eaten it to shreds. Hysterics quickly followed. So, we were off to Target in search of a replacement sprinkler. However, it seems it was a bit too late in the season to buy a sprinkler and the best I could do was a clearance slip n slide. Turns out it was a brilliant purchase. Annah and Liam both love it (so do Will and I, but more on that later)!

Here is Annah's first run through. Not so much on her tummy, but having a blast!

I was a little worried about Liam...in the past he has not been such a big fan of sprinklers. No need to worry!

The next day Delainey and Jac came over to give it a go. Good times!

Now she's getting the hang of it!

Delainey was pretty darn good!

This picture is just SO Jac!
Sunday we pulled out all the stops. Annah had a monkey pool from last summer with a banana slide. Will thought it would be fun to set up the pool (it has a sprinkler that shoots out of the monkey's nose) so that you could slide out of the pool and onto the slip n slide down the hill. I thought he was crazy, but I was wrong. It was so much fun. We lubed up with lots of bubbles and away we went...all of us. I am so sore today from all of the fun!

Annah splashing around

Annah took a break from the sliding to blow some bubbles. I love this picture of her. It is just my sweet, sweet girl!

Will...see, I told you it was fun

Annah was not quite strong enough to get a good launch out of the pool, so Will had to position himself halfway down to keep her going

There was a leak in the hose and Jackson and Belle had their own game going

"Wwwwhhhhheeeee!!!!!"

Chillin' after a day of fun!

And the Walking Man Walks

If I had any idea how to go about doing it, I would add the James Taylor song, "Walking Man" to this video. Liam has finally figured it out and now I can't get him to slow down. He walks just for the sake of walking...yet another sign my baby is growing up!

Trying Out My New Toy

I have been playing with my new camera (well, a lot to be honest) trying to get differnt focuses and blurry backgrounds. Just a sample of the 5 million or so pictures I have taken in the last few days.

Not a very exciting picture, I know, but I accomplished what I wanted

Cheesy Bean

Annah was at Rosie's house for a bit today, so Liam got his very own photo session...not bad, if I do say so myself

This is totally my favorite!

Look at the dimples in his hand! So cute!

Nothing artsy, but so darn cute!

That's our house in the background. Talk about blurry!

Bubbles!

Take Me Out to the Crowd

OK, so there wasn't really a crowd...
We got back from the beach last Friday and took advantage of the fact that Will was home. We met Laura and her girls and Mandy and Mac and their boys for dinner and then went with the Harpers to a Columbia Blowfish game. It was a gorgeous night and the game was not crowded at all (so we didn't have to worry about annoying fans sitting near us...check out the empty seats!)

Liam and Daddy

Always looking

Annah and Daddy

Annah and Ty (Ty Boy)...so stinking sweet!

and then it was time to go...

4th of July

We spent the 4th on the Lake. It was a beautiful day! Annah and Gardner played so well together. I am amazed at how well the two of them get along. I hope they will remain as close as they are right now. Liam was just along for the ride (except for a minor meltdown b/c of a lost nap). We went over to some friends' house for lunch and had so much fun. I even got to see an old college friend I haven't seen in years! Great day!

Where Are We Going?...To The Beach!

Will finally took a week off work and we all headed down to IOP for the week. It was so nice to spend some time together with no agenda. Gramme and Grandaddy came down for a few days too, so the (big) boys got to play a little golf and we all got to spend some time at the beach and in the pool. I got my birthday present a bit early...a new camera. It rocks!!! I am sorry for the rediculous number of pictures, but I had too much fun with my new toy!

Leapin Lizards

Today, Mandy and I took the kiddos to Leapin Lizards. This is the first time I have taken both kids since Liam was big enough to enjoy himself there. It made for a chaotic morning, but we had a great time. If we ever win the lottery, one of the first things I will do is make an entire room made out of inflatables. I love (and they do too) that they can jump and fall and never get hurt and laugh and laugh about it all! There is nothing in this world that I love the sound of more that my kids laughing. I got to hear it a lot today!

This is hysterical!!!

This dress may be a touch too big!

Griff laid down like this for like 5 minutes...all the excitement got to him, I guess!

Wheeeee!

Liam really had a blast.. the only problem was that he would get stuck and the inflatables are not really made for adults to fit through

Annah's favorite thing to do today was climb up to the top of the slide and JUMP!

THIS was my favorite part of going to Leapin Lizards!
